Manaf Halbouni
Born 1984 in Damascus, Syria. In 2008, he moved to Dresden, where he studied sculpture at the Hochschule für Bildende Künste (Academy of Fine Arts). His exhibitions and projects have been shown in many venues, including the Victoria & Albert Museum in London and the 56th Venice Biennale. In 2017, he erected a much-discussed work called Monument in Dresden.
