Elisabeth Penker
Born 1974 in Reisseck, lives in Vienna. She studied sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna, then at the National Academy of Fine Arts in Oslo and as Visiting Artist at the Art Center Pasadena in California, Theory Researcher at the Jan van Eyck Academy Maastricht. Her sculptures are anchored in the field of Comparative Art and Sound Art, using language morphology to explore connections to musical and visual grammar. Her collages, photographs, diagrams and drawings are extended questions of her sculptures.
