Information

The sculpture project 'FREI' (FREE) on the meadow between Haus 12 and Traisenpromenade is the result of an intensive preoccupation with the subject of freedom. A careful examination of the shape of the moulded concrete will reveal that it shows the letters FREI.

The meadow in front of the beautiful building.
Beautiful square.
A sculpture for the meadow.
– The theme?
Don't know. – Don't know (anything). Whoever knows wants to own what they think.
Whoever wants and owns is not free. Whoever doesn't know (anything) misses nothing.
– The motif?
No motif. Images impair the view. Images impair everything.
– The intention?
No intention. Intention enslaves. No ideology.
Free. Free in everything. Nothing didactic.
– The aim?
Free of aims. No desires. Nothing is affected. Not even nothing.
Whoever wants is not free. Will binds. Whoever doesn't want (anything) is free.
