Lois Weinberger :
Was will man machen ...

Information

Lois Weinberger's design 'Was will man machen ...' (What does one want to do?) envisaged using the strips flanking the toboggan run in Semmering as supports for colour and text. A yellow-green coloration was intended to allude to the Euphorbiaceae cyparissias (cypress spurge) growing in the area. The project was not realised.

As a contrast to the aesthetics on the Semmering informed by tourism, Lois Weinberger’s proposal for the Hirschenkogel was to use the existing strips along the sled runs. These were to serve as supports for color and text with the yellow and green that is seen by Weinberger as a "natural" contrast to the surrounding in winter and summer being derived from the Euphorbiaceae cyparissias (cypress spurge) growing in this area. The texts were to be mounted on the strips in loose succession from top to bottom.
