Information

The concept envisaged restructuring the schoolyard with a free-standing orange-red concrete ball wall, an illuminated showcase and two table-tennis tables to create a communicative space for the pupils of the school.
The project was not, however, realised as it was rejected by the school board.

The playground of the secondary school is spatially structured with a free-standing, orange-red concrete wall for ball games, a lighting showcase and two table-tennis tables. The colours of these elements are clearly defined and form a hermetic ensemble together with the two (white) facade elements that are left blank. The starting point of my own thinking was the aim of creating the situation of a communicative square, a meeting-point. It was not possible to implement the project because it was regrettably (and incomprehensibly) rejected by a majority of the members of the board of the secondary school.
